The Bureau receives and investigates complaints and grievances filed by citizens and takes appropriate action thereon and submits a monthly report to the President of the Republic, thereby ensuring that all citizens enjoy the right to lodge a complaint in respect of any violation of their rights or freedoms. A complaint may be referred to the Central Authority of Oversight and Inspection to investigate whether it contains charges that may constitute a violation of the duties of an official.
ويتلقى هذا المكتب شكاوى وتظلمات المواطنيـن ويقوم بمعالجتها واتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبـة، ويرفـع تقريراً شهرياً إلى السـيد رئيس الجمهورية، مما يكفل تمتع جميع المواطنين على السواء بحق التظلم في حال انتهاك حقوقهم وحرياتهم ويجوز إحالة الشكوى إلى الهيئة المركزية للرقابة والتفتيش من أجل التحقيق فيما إذا كانت تتضمن اتهامات مخلة بواجبات الوظيفة.
