بدأت شبكة الخبراء الإحصائيين لآسيا ومنطقة المحيط الهادئ المعنيين بإحصاءات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية، عملها في عام 2001 وشاركت فيها أستراليا وهونغ كونغ (الصين) وجمهورية كوريا ونيوزيلندا وسنغافورة والفلبين، بقصد تمكين الإحصائيين ومستخدمي إحصاءات مجتمع المعلومات من تبادل الخبرات والأساليب وتبادل الآراء بشأن التطورات اللاحقة في مجال عمليات القياس.
