(تصميم الخدمة) هو مقياس لمدى سرعة و فعالية استعادة عنصر تهيئة أو خدمة تكنولوجيا معلومات معينة إلى حالة العمل الطبيعية بعد حدوث عطل. و تقاس إمكانية الصيانة و تبلغ عادةً بوحدات متوسط وقت استعادة الخدمة. و تستخدم إمكانية الصيانة أيضاً في سياق البرمجيات أو تطوير خدمات تكنولوجيا المعلومات بمعنى إمكانية التغيير أو الإصلاح بسهولة.
