Surveillance could include (a) monitoring and assessing risks and linkages to the broader macro-economy so as identify significant exposures to liquidity, exchange rate, and other macro-variables; (b) information collection; (c) focus on regulated institutions and controlling entities; and (d) overall leverage in the financial system.
