In its reply of 14 September 2001, the Ministry of Fisheries drew the authors' attention to the fact that under the penalty provisions of the Fisheries Management Act, No. 38/1990, and the Treatment of Exploitable Marine Stocks Act, No. 57/1996, catches made in excess of fishing permits were punishable by fines or up to six years' imprisonment, as well as the deprivation of fishing permits.وقامت الوزارة بلفت انتباه صاحبي البلاغ، في ردها المؤرخ 14 أيلول/سبتمبر 2001، إلى أن أحكام العقوبات الواردة في قانون إدارة مصايد الأسماك رقم 38/1990، وأحكام القانون رقم 57/1996 المتعلق بالتعامل مع الأرصدة البحرية القابلة للاستغلال، تعاقب من يزاولون الصيد بدون رخص بغرامات مالية أو بالسجن لمدة أقصاها ست سنوات، فضلاً عن حرمانهم من الحصول على رخص صيد.
